Last year, a group of citizens in Ottertail county got together, partnering with the united way, for our first "friends of friends fighting hunger in Ottertail county" with a dinner, dance, live and silent auction. We were hoping to raise maybe 5-7,000 but ended up raising over 21,000 for the local food shelves!

We have our second annual event coming up January 23, 2010 and there is a special request for more artistic items this year. I am attaching the community brochure for this years event and the program from last year. It was a GREAT event and 100% of the proceeds went to our food shelves.

I was wondering if anyone in your consortium would be open to donating any tax deductible items to our auction? ...We have been so surprised at the number of individuals and companies who are willing to help out the hungry if you just ask!
